Casus Belli wines are high altitude wines; their vineyards in Ordino grow at between 1,240 and 1,322 metres above sea level where the mountain air is purer and the sun is closer. They are the highest in the Principality of Andorra and the only ones outside the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria.

The first plantations in organically rich calcareous brown soil were in 2010 with short-cycle and early grape varieties which allow the production of sparkling wines at altitude and in a mainly shady area. These lands have longer winters and sharp changes in temperature between day and night, which influence the ageing, making it slower and causing a refreshing effect.
